The Guthries

The Guthries have their roots down deep in the Driftless! Scott and Ericka Guthrie make their home in the Kickapoo Valley as full-time musicians performing all over the quad-state area. Scott’s first CD was released in 2017 with the former Dubuque duo, Medicinal Purposes. Shortly after, he co-wrote the soundtrack for the award-winning film “The Final 19”. Ericka birthed and currently spearheads the annual Driftless Women in Music Event in Bangor, WI, and performed with nine other female area artists to produce the 14-track “Driftless Women in Music” CD, which was released in early 2023. As singer/songwriters, they create music peppered with the influences of rock, folk, country, and blues. Influenced by artists such as John Prine, Gillian Welch, Stevie Ray Vaughn, the Eagles, Jim Croce, and so many more, you will hear a variety of tunes from Acoustic Folk to Electric Blues. With Scott’s vocals and accomplished guitar licks and Ericka’s vocals, rhythm guitar, and bass, they cover the full range of modern and classic Americana music!
