Viroqua Farmers Market

The Viroqua Farmers Market will run every Saturday from May 6th through October 28th, from 8 am to 12:30pm.

Attendees of the Viroqua Farmers Market will find fresh produce, baked goods, prepared foods, arts, crafts, plants, live music, and so much more. Many favorite vendors will be returning along with new vendors who’ll be bringing fresh and exciting offerings to the market.

Recipients of SNAP, WIC, and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits can use their benefits at many of the Viroqua Farmers Market’s participating vendors. “We’re really pleased to be able to provide access to fresh and local produce to our working families and seniors who count on these benefits programs, and we encourage them to join us at the market” said Chris Clemens, Executive Director for the Viroqua Chamber Main Street.

This year, the Viroqua Farmers Market will build upon its award-winning Kids Market program by inviting young entrepreneurs to vend every first Saturday of the month from June through October. The Kids Market, recently recognized as one of the best events in the state by WEDC and the Wisconsin Main Street Organization, encourages area youth to set build skills and gain experience by setting up a booth and running a business as a vendor at the market.

In addition to its role in providing fresh produce and other goods, the Viroqua Farmers Market has a significant positive impact on downtown businesses and the community at large. “The Viroqua Farmers Market had an estimated economic impact of over $590,000 last season and is an incredibly important asset to our community,” said Clemens. “Those are real dollars that flowed into and will stay within our community, and we’re really pleased to provide this benefit to the people of Viroqua and the surrounding area.”
