Sankta Lucia Social

Celebrate the return of light in the darkness of winter at Folklore Village’s Sankta Lucia Social, a beautiful Swedish tradition of hope and warmth. The day begins with afternoon workshops at 4:00 p.m., where children are encouraged to participate in making seasonal crafts, foods and learn the traditional Sankta Lucia songs for their role in the evening’s candlelit procession. The evening festivities begin with a potluck supper at 6:00 p.m., followed by the magical candlelit Lucia procession, family-friendly dancing, and the sharing of fresh lussekatter saffron buns. All ages are welcome to enjoy this beautiful Swedish holiday celebration of light and community.

• Admission: $15 adults, $12 seniors and teens, and $10 children ages 5–12 for both workshops and evening celebration. Evening-only admission is $10 adults, $8 seniors and teens, and $5 children. Children under 5 are free.
