“DEAN SANER-SONGWRITER” CONCERT

Celebrating nearly 40 years of composing music, singer-songwriter/pianist Dean Saner brings his songs of love and life to a benefit concert for the Driftless Music Festival at Immanuel Lutheran Church (1004 W. Broadway) in Viroqua on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at 2PM. The concert will also feature an all-star lineup with Darren Saner of Rochester on drums/vocals, La Crosse area musicians Todd Saner and Tom Gibbons on guitar/vocals, and local James Fuller on bass. Local singer Stephanie Lied-Polnow rounds out the group of musicians.

From the breezy dog song “Racing the Train” of his childhood, to the smooth Michael Buble-influenced “Let Me Make You Smile,” and the country-blues “No Harm, No Foul,” Dean’s thoughtful and clever lyrics combine with tasteful piano stylings, guiding the listener into an array of musical landscapes.

Along with several songs from the “Saner World” album, the concert will highlight an ending set of John Denver songs performed by the entire group, featuring Todd Saner, including “Rocky Mountain High,” “Country Roads,” and several others, with an invitation to sing along.

Admission will be $10 for adults and $5 for students, with a family/household price of $15.

The event is finished.
