8th Festival of Christmas & Midwinter Traditions
Welcome to Folklore Village’s longest-running festival! Founded by Jane Farwell in 1947 to celebrate the true spirit of the season, the Festival of Christmas & Midwinter Traditions offers five days of music, dance, crafts, food, and community. Participants enjoy workshops in international dance (led by instructor Andy Taylor-Blenis), singing, and specific folk arts such as Korean Jogakbo patchwork and Ukrainian Pysanky egg decorating. The event features daily children’s programming, themed afternoon teas, and vibrant evening parties, all dedicated to preserving rich folk traditions from around the world.
